Our University has introduced a service that allows students to apply for a certificate online and pay electronically or by cash at convenience stores. If you would like to apply for a certificate, please apply for use. After completing the application for use, you can apply for issuance.

How to Receive a Certificate

  1. Print out and receive a certificate from a printer at any convenience store (Seven-Eleven, FamilyMart, Lawson (in alphabetical order)) nationwide (*some certificates are available only by mail).※1
  2. Receive by mail addressed to the applicant
  3. Pick up the certificate at the Educational Affairs Center counter
  4. Send digitally directly to the intended recipient※2

※1:Certificates printed from multi-copiers at convenience stores are counterfeit-proofed using POPITA technology. POPITA technology can be used to verify the authenticity of certificates. For details, please refer to “For Certificate Recipients (Such as Corporate Recruiters)“. (POPITA is a registered trademark of NTT Advanced Technology Corporation.)

※2:About Send Online
A PDF of the certificate, digitally signed and time-stamped by the certificate authority, can be sent directly to the e-mail address of the company or other recipient.  The recipient of the certificate can download the certificate from a single-use URL. For details, please refer to “For Certificate Recipients (Such as Corporate Recruiters)

Precautions for use

  • In order to use the service, you must register and apply for the Certificate Issuance Service in advance.
  • Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not allow POPITA (digital watermark) certificates. If you submit a certificate to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to apply for a visa, etc., please select “Sending by mail” after login.
  • Non-regular students such as non-degree students and research students cannot use this service. Please click here for more information.

How to Login to the Certificate Issuance Service

Before you can issue a certificate, you must log in to and apply for the Certificate Issuance Service.

Log in with your Sentan Navi login ID/password. (Your second password is not required for the first login.)

• For any certificates not listed above, please consult the Educational Affairs Center.
• If you wish to receive a sealed certificate, please select “by mail” (in the case of “by mail,” you may still choose to pick up your certificate in-person at the counter). When printing a certificate at the convenience store, please note you will need to seal the certificate yourself.(If you need an envelope, please contact the Educational Affairs Center.)
• When receiving certificates by mail, a postage fee will be charged. In the case of printing at a convenience store, a printing fee of 60 yen per sheet will be required.

Certificate for Student Commuter Pass• Required for when purchasing a commuter pass.
• A commuter pass must be for the purpose of commuting to school and can be purchased only for the shortest or most economical route from your current address (nearest station to your home) to the university (nearest station to the main campus where you take classes).
• No payment required (valid for 1 month from the date of issue)
<Notes>
• Unauthorized use is strictly forbidden.
• The commuter pass cannot be used during a leave of absence.
• Only available for students commuting for regular studies. (Cannot be issued for club activities or part-time jobs.)
• Non-regular students such as non-degree students and research students are ineligible for this certificate.

Student ID card Reissue

If you wish to reissue your student ID card due to loss or other reasons, you can apply through the Certificate Issuance Service.
After payment, the Educational Affairs Center will contact you as soon as the new student ID card is ready.
The cost of reissue is 5,000 yen. Please handle your student ID card with care.

  • After payment, please note that we cannot refund you for any reason (such as finding your lost student ID card).
  • In the event you find your lost student ID card after payment, please submit the old ID to the Educational Affairs Center to have it replaced with the new ID.
  • Student ID cards may only be received in-person at the Educational Affairs Center counter.
  • Please keep the payment completion notification email until you receive the reissued student ID.

※Those who fall under any of the following conditions will be ineligible for student ID card reissue. For more information, please inquire at the Educational Affairs Center counter.
・When you need to replace or reissue only the sticker on the back of your student ID card (Educational Affairs Center)
・When you change your name (Student Affairs Center) 

For Receiving Certificates at the Educational Affairs Center counter

After submitting your application, please come to the counter in 3 business days for pick-up.
※Applications for “Counter Pickup” can be found in the “Mail” menu.

Please have your student ID card ready when picking up your certificate.
Office hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (weekdays only)

For Certificate Recipients (Such as Corporate Recruiters)

• If you receive a certificate printed from a convenience store

These certificates are protected from counterfeiting using POPITA technology. Those who receive a KUAS convenience store certificate can use POPITA technology to verify the authenticity of the certificate. Please click here for more details.

• If you receive a digital certificate (PDF) 

The PDF data will have an electronic signature and time stamp from the certification authority. Please click here for information on how to receive digital certificates.

 

For Non-degree Students and Research Students

Non-degree students and research students are ineligible for certificate application via the “Certificate Issuance Service”.
Please contact the Educational Affairs Center for information on how to apply.
※Please note that certificates will be issued approximately one week from the time of application.
