〇Consultation Appointment Form

The Student Counselor’s Office has been accepting consultation appointment requests by email, phone, or in person, but we have recently introduced an online appointment system to make it easier for more people to use the Office’s consultation services. A link to the Consultation Appointment Form can be found in the middle of this page.

〇Free Space

Since the reopening of the free space at the Kyoto Kameoka Campus, it had been available by reservation only, but it is now available to use freely without a reservation. Students can eat and drink there again, so please feel free to relax in the space.

About the Student Counselor’s Office

University is a time where you gain many new experiences such an engaging in your studies, clubs, part-time jobs, and job hunting. It is also a time where you might become more introspective. Such times can make anyone feel lost or worried. When you do feel that way, you don’t have to hold it all in alone. Why not visit the Student Counselor’s Office? At the Student Counselor’s Office, we help students by listening and thinking through their troubles together. When necessary, we collaborate with teachers, other departments, and institutions outside the university to support students and improve their daily lives.

・We are open to all KUAS students and their guardians.
・We respect your privacy and confidentiality.
・Each session will last no longer than one hour.
・Please use the Student Counselor’s Office of your campus.

About use

  • The Student Counselor’s Office mainly provides face-to-face consultations, but for those who find face-to-face consultations difficult due to special circumstances, we offer remote consultations (online consultation and telephone consultation). Please contact the Student Counselor’s Office for further information.
  • Reservations are given priority. You can make a reservation using one of the methods below, but you can also come directly to the office. We can accommodate same-day consultations depending on availability.

WorkshopsThe Student Counselor’s Office provides all students with useful information for daily life, and provides places for students to interact. We offer a variety of activities, from online workshops using Teams, to workshops that foster face-to-face interaction. Details such as dates and the contents of the activities will be announced via Sentan Navi, etc., so please check if you are interested.
Free SpaceIn addition to the consultation room, the Kameoka Campus office has a free space that is always open to students. Books, magazines, and board games are also available. Please feel free to use this space whether you would like to be alone or you would like to relax with your friends.【Opening hours】Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:00, excluding long holidays※On Kyoto Uzumasa Campus, we use empty classrooms to open free spaces irregularly during the semester. Dates and times are announced on Sentan Navi and campus publications.
Lending Out BooksThe Student Counselor’s Office also has books for students. Most of the books in the Student Counselor’s Office are written in Japanese, but there are also books written in English that you can enjoy, as well as photo books. You can borrow books for up to two weeks. Please come to the Student Counselor’s Office directly to see the books in the collection. We will explain more about the rules for borrowing books then.
