Dr. Qi Wu received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Business Administration from Kobe University in 2012 and 2018, respectively. She joined the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Kyoto University of Advanced Science in 2019 as a Junior Associate Professor. In addition to her current position, during 2022-2023, she was a Junior Associate Professor at the Research Institute for Economics and Business Administration of Kobe University and was an Adjunct Professor at UNU-FLORES (United Nations University Institute for Integrated Management of Material Fluxes and Resources) in 2023.
Currently, Dr. Wu’s work is focused on “The establishment of an environmental accounting system towards a circular economy”. She has previously worked on the research project of the Environment Research and Technology Development Fund, which is led by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment since 2016 to research “Policy Design and Evaluation to Ensure Sustainable Consumption and Production Patterns in Asian Region”. This project examined and compared the development of effective environmental management control systems in companies in Thailand and Vietnam. In recent years, her main areas of expertise have included environmental management control systems, sustainability accounting, natural capital accounting and SDGs.
