Tsutomu Yamashita

In my lecture on the History of Science, I would like to focus particularly on the history of life science and other sciences in Japan. The main purpose of the lecture is to consider and discuss “what is science” from a historical perspective. I look forward to meeting students who will actively take part in my classes.

Dr. Tsutomu Yamashita completed the course of Graduate School of Letters, Kyoto University and obtained his Ph.D. He also pursued studies at the Institute of Indology, the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
Dr. Yamashita was appointed as an Associate Professor at Kyoto Gakuen University (currently Kyoto University of Advanced Science), and he currently maintains a position as a Professor for the institution’s Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
