Preparatory Studies for Incoming Students (Undergraduate Students ONLY)
KUAS will offer online pre-enrollment preparatory courses for students who plan to enroll in September. All incoming students are asked to take these courses in order to smoothly transition into their undergraduate program.
Note: These preparatory courses are scheduled to begin in June or later. More details will be provided via email after student IDs and Microsoft accounts have been issued.
Japanese Language (All Undergraduate Students)
Adjusting to life in Japan can be much easier when you know a little Japanese. Therefore, KUAS has prepared a series of Japanese language learning assignments for all international undergraduate students to complete prior to their arrival.
Goals
- The Japanese language assignments will help you to gain the following abilities:
- The ability to read and write all “hiragana” and “katakana”, the basic building blocks of the Japanese written language.
- The ability to utilize and understand words and phrases commonly used in daily conversation.
Mathematics and MATLAB (Undergraduate Engineering Students ONLY)
From July onward, preparatory Mathematics and MATLAB classes will also be added to help students ease into the basics of engineering.

Preparing Your Personal Computer for School
Our classes are structured for utilizing PCs in the classrooms. Therefore, all students are required to bring their own Windows OS installed PCs to class.
The computer specifications required vary by faculty, please make sure to check the “PC Requirements” on the Documents/Form page and prepare accordingly.
