  • Professor Shilu Ray earned her M.A. and M. Phil in Economics from Calciutta University and Delhi University and received the McNamara Fellowship in Economic Development Institute from World Bank, Washington DC. She taught at Shriram College of Commerce, Delhi University; Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University; Institute of Liberal Arts, Doshisha University; and Department of Global Studies, Kyoto University of Foreign Studies. Her professional experience includes Branch Manager of Citizens Bank in Boston, Massachusetts and General Manager of EEDF Hospital, Kolkata, India.

    Professor Ray won the Robert S. McNamara Fellowship of World Bank for her research on Economic Incentives for Pollution Abatement, Measurement of Technical Efficiency in the Indian Sugar Industry, and Measuring Accessibility and Inclusivity in the Health Sector of India.
