General

On October 14, this year’s Internship Final Presentations event was held at the South Building of Kyoto Uzumasa Campus. 220 students who completed summer internships reported their achievements and experiences, 20 of which were presented in English. The internships were conducted at 124 companies and government offices spanning from Japan to the world.

Many students from this year’s batch took on internships abroad. In addition to overseas subsidiaries of Japanese companies, the internship program has expanded to include local companies and organizations with global operations in 18 bases across 10 different countries (United States, Canada, Holland, Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia). Among the 220 interns are international students who took on internships in Japan, where they were granted opportunities to experience the environment and operations of Japanese companies firsthand.

The presentations were held at three venues within Kyoto Uzumasa Campus. The 124 reports were divided into 31 groups, and booths were set up for each group. The reports started in the morning and were divided into a total of four sessions.

Also attending the event were 70 representatives from participating organizations, who, following the presentations, participated in an exchange meeting with KUAS students and faculty. Since completing their internships, it was the first time many students were able to meet with the representatives again.
