Bioenvironmental Sciences

The Faculty of Bioenvironmental Sciences had the privilege of hosting three professors from the Department of Environmental Engineering, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), Indonesia. Founded in 1945, UII holds the distinction of being the first private university established in Indonesia following the nation’s independence.

During their visit, the distinguished guests were accompanied by Dr. Yasue Bo and Dr. Yong Jie Wong to explore the greenhouses and plantation areas at the Kameoka campus. Additionally, the group had the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art laboratory facilities housed within the Bioenvironmental Building.

The visiting professors were then warmly welcomed by Dr. Tetsuro Mimura, the Dean of the Faculty of Bioenvironmental Sciences, and Dr. Reiji Suzuki, the Head of the Department of Bioenvironmental Sciences. During the meeting, both parties expressed their appreciation and affirmed the commitment to further nurturing and expanding academic collaborations in the future.

We anticipate that this visit will not only strengthen our partnership with UII but also pave the way for enhanced academic exchanges and collaborative initiatives in the years to come.
