We are thrilled to announce a remarkable achievement by a team of international students from the Faculty of Engineering at Kyoto University of Advanced Science (KUAS). Making their debut appearance at the prestigious Kansai Spring Robocon 2025, the “KUAS Robocon” team secured an impressive 3rd place! This victory highlights the dedication, teamwork, and innovative spirit of our students and the supportive environment fostered within the KUAS Faculty of Engineering.
Details of the Competition

The Kansai Spring Robocon 2025, held on March 13th at Galleria Kameoka in Kyoto Prefecture, marked its 8th year and attracted 28 teams from universities and colleges of technology. The competition involved a preliminary league stage where teams were divided into nine groups, followed by a knockout-style final tournament for the top performers.

The KUAS Robocon team, comprised of students from the Sajid Nisar Laboratory within the Faculty of Engineering, demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the event. They achieved a perfect record in the preliminary league, advancing to the final tournament. After a successful first match in the knockout stage, they faced a tough semi-final where a few errors led to a narrow defeat. However, the team showcased their resilience and speed in the 3rd place playoff, ultimately securing a well-deserved victory.

They also received plenty of support from various other professors from KUAS that helped the building of the robot.
