2022年8月より、京都先端科学大学（以下、KUAS）に在籍するウクライナ人学生3名が、オムロン株式会社様のご協力のもと、京都市下京区の同本社における有償インターンシップをスタートしました。
KUASでは、ウクライナからの学生たちが日本で自立した生活を送れるよう、入学後の生活、学修支援を充実させたいと考えています。この有償インターンシップは、学生たちの経済的な基盤づくりの一助となるだけでなく、地域社会への参画を促すことも目的に実施しています。
ウクライナ人学生3名はオムロン本社のスタッフの方々のサポートを得ながら、同社のブランドコミュニケーション部やグローバルE&S統括部などで、ソーシャルメディアの運営やサステナビリティ関連の他社事例の分析をはじめとするマーケット調査業務に取り組んでいます。同社のオフィス環境で社会人に囲まれながら働くことで、実際の業務について学べるだけでなく日本の文化や生活について深い理解を得られることと考えています。
この学生3名は在学中の期間を通じて、オムロン株式会社様で受け入れていただく予定です。学生たちにとって、同社でのインターンシップが卒業後の進路や自身のキャリア形成に目を向ける機会になると期待しています。

Starting from August of 2022, three Ukrainian students enrolled at Kyoto University of Advanced Science (hereinafter, KUAS) began participating in a paid internship program at Omron Corporation at its headquarters in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto.
KUAS is committed to providing Ukrainian students with support after their enrollment so that they can lead independent, successful lives in Japan. This paid internship program is intended not only to help students build a financial foundation for themselves, but also to encourage their participation in the local community.
The Ukrainian students, with the support of OMRON headquarters staff, are working in OMRON’s Brand Communication Department and Global E&S Administration Department, managing social media and conducting market research, including analysis of sustainability-related case studies of other companies. By working in Omron’s office environment with the Japanese staff, the students will not only learn about real day-to-day corporate operations, but also gain a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.
The students will be hosted by OMRON Corporation for the duration of their studies at KUAS, and we hope that their internship at OMRON Corporation will provide an opportunity for the students to consider their career paths after graduation.
KUAS currently has 20 Ukrainian students pursuing studies at the university’s Faculty of Engineering. We would like to offer paid internship opportunities to as many of these Ukrainian students as possible.
